Kelly's Co-Stars States She Isn't Leaving
Nancy Lee Grahn responded to the Sam McCall recast rumors via Twitter:
"NOT LEAVING...RELAX"
'4 the love of God, she is not going anywhere. Don't believe everything u read.... suckers..and I say that with so much love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Steve Burton also Spoke out about Kelly's Status
"Kelly Monaco is not leaving."
Kelly Monaco herself also had an interesting Facebook Status Post:
"If u fail... Pick yourself up n try again."

I definitely think Steve Burton would no if they were planning to recast Sam McCall because it involves his character and storyline. The only thing that now makes me nervous is Kemo's facebook status but i guess that could involve anything.

Soap Opera Source has learned that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) will be hitting the sheets once again. For years, fans have gone back and forth debating who mob enforcer Jason Morgan is meant to be with. Some argued that a mobster like him needs a ride or die chick that can handle his dangerous life. Others have fought for Jason to be with the mother of his child, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
This month, while Sam and Jason are hot on the heels of runaways Michael (Drew Garrett) and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth), the former lovers struggle to fight their buried feelings for each other. A source tells us after some important declarations are made, Jason and Sam will finally act on their feelings, resulting in Jason making love to Sam at the end of the month. As of right now the details of Steve Burton's contract are being worked out. What is he asking for? A personal life it seems. Jason will not be on our screens as much as usual but he will continue to be an adamant figure.

Steve Burton Leaves Fan's Wanting More!!!
Steve Burton recently had a fan event in New York where he left the fans feeling unsettled. He didn't answer any questions about resigning just that his contract is up in 3 months. It's apparent that Steve just wants more time off like he said in the past he wishes he was Luke so he get the vacations. Steve Burton said he was happy with his job and doesn't want any control over what his character, Jason does. Steve Burton confirmed that JaSam was happening this summer and he recently auditioned for a role in a western, but nothing definite on that yet.

"From all reports, it looks as if Steve Burton has re-signed to stay on as Jason Morgan.
This is good news indeed. Burton was supposed to make a decision by March. Apparently he negotiated some time off. I wrote previously that ABC/Disney should do whatever it took to keep him, and it looks like they did. Whatever the terms, he's important to General Hospital, in the opinion of this writer, and I hope this widely-disseminated news is true."

SOW: Making Money Through Monavie
An article that details some facts about Monavie and Steve's part in it. The more you sell, the higher you move up in the Active Distributor Rank. In 2007 there was an average of 13,451 distributors who were paid weekly and the average weekly income was $37. The highest rank is the Imperial Black Diamond which SBu reportedly reached when he started getting serious about selling it last year. An insider tells SOW that he's made over $450,000 this year. He goes out three times a week doing tastings. He's so into it. SBu has been heard to say that being a soap star gets people to listen to him, but if they don't want to buy it, they won't buy it.
With SBu's contract up in November, rumors continue to intensify that he's out later this year. A rep for GH says "no comment." A source tells SOW that SBu has saved up enough money from selling Monavie and his public appearances which can net up to $10,000 a weekend, to change careers if he wants to. SBu has seen the non-soap life happen for his friends Scott and Melissa Reeves and he's made no secret about wanting to move his family out of L.A., someday. Insiders tell SOW that it's the GH salary, not his desire to be a TV star, that's keeping him at GH. His departure would leave holes both on air and in the cast. BA says that if Steve were to leave, it would be a big deal for GH. His whole experience at GH has been built around him, in a sense. It'd be strange to play Spin without Steve as Jason. But he has heard no concrete plans about him leaving. He's not much of a talker, so he's not going to stir it up. He's a pretty classy guy, so he doesn't think he'd wave that in front of anybody.
