Watched Jason and Brenda clips from thurs fri and am not impressed about Brenda. Have to just continue watching if she could give some depth to the character. Her portraying has been quite inexpressive; only when the topic is about Sonny she gets more lively.
sam should make jason choice what he want to protect brenda or to spend time with sam.

Agree with you. It would be a disaster if Jason choose anyone than Sam. Their path and history together is stronger than any other couple.
