Brianna Brown Extends GH Contract till 2011

According to Brianna Brown's Official Website Brianna Brown (Dr Lisa Niles) has Extended her GH contract until December 2011.

More Somewhat Disappointing News

Natalia Livingston (Ex-Emily/Rebecca) is headed to Days of Our Lives.  Soap Opera Digest can report that Natalia Livingston, best known to daytime audiences as GH's Emily (2003-08) and Rebecca (2009) has been hired to play Taylor Raines, sister of Arianne Zucker’s Nicole. The role was last portrayed by Katherine Ellis from 1998-99.

No story details have been given on what to expect from Livingston's take on the character, though it is likely she will be involved in Nicole's storyline. Considering the sister's have fought over men in the past, it is possible there might be a love triangle between Taylor, Brady, and Nicole.  Natalia is said to first appear in Salem in December. 

BREAKING Disappointing News

Tristan Rogers (Ex-Robert Scorpio) Joins the Young and the Restless.  According to TV Guide Magazine Tristan is heading over to Genoa City.

A show rep tells TV Guide Magazine he'll play "a mysterious and charming stranger named Colin who comes to Genoa City with a dark secret and a threatening agenda." Rogers, whose role at this point is considered recurring, will start shooting Y&R October 27 and hit the air December 8.

As a loyal GH fan this really upsets me.  Why not have Robert come to town and join in the Balkan escapade along side Luke Spencer to save Lucky?  

Writer Karen Harris Out

After weeks of speculation Karen Harris has confirmed her departure via facebook. 

Karen worked as Script Writer: 1993 - 1996; April 8, 2005 - January 3, 2008; and  March 17, 2008–present

She also worked as Co-Head Writer with Robert Guza Jr. from 1996 - 1997

Congratulations to Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Wife Linda Leslie! SID reports that his wife, Linda, gave birth to a baby girl Tuesday morning, Oct. 19th at 5:29 a.m.   No name as of yet. Details to come

 This is a big week for GH Stars to have kids.

Dominic tweeted their little girl has been named Anbilliene Zamprogna.

Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) and his wife Lisa have a new baby boy!

Update: 

Jonathon and his wife, welcomed Titus Gabriel into the world on October 7th.  Their baby boy weighed in at 7lbs and 1oz. This is the couple's third child.

 

Kelly Monaco on Halmark

Kelly Monaco (Sam-GH) is currently working on a Hallmark Movie Channel movie, The Edge of The Garden. She stars as Julie Rice, the fiance of Rob Estes' character.  Kelly is currently traveling back and forth from L.A to Vancouver.  No word on the movie's air date.

Sebastian Roche Back to PC, Has the Balkan been Cast?

Rumors indicate that Sebastian Roche (Jerry Jacks) is returning to PC to look for something that Brenda and Dante stole from the Balkan.  No Official Word Yet.

Update:  Massi Furlan is not playing the Balkan but Giovanni an associate of the Balkan's. 

UPDATED Leslie Charleson Bumped to Recurring

According to ABC Soaps In Depth Charleson's contract has been dropped.

Soaps In Depth has learned that Leslie Charleson (Monica) has been taken off contract and is now a recurring player with GENERAL HOSPITAL. Charleson, who has four Emmy nominations under her belt, joined the soap over 30 years ago, but her screentime has dwindled since the death of her on-screen husband, Alan, played by Stuart Damon, in 2007. An ABC spokesperson reminds that the soap does not comment on contract status.

Statement from Leslie:

I was under the impression that the announcement of my contract status was
not going to be released by Soaps In Depth Magazine until the September
issue and that would give me the time to tell you myself what was going on. I
did not want you to find out on the internet. Unfortunately, that did not
happen and yes, it is... true. I am officially off contract

Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo's Fiance to Guest Star!

Robert Guza recently revealed to Soaps In Depth that Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo's soon to be husband Carmine will Guest Star on General Hospital.  No further details have been given. Despite numerous reports Vanessa Marcil revealed that they aren't married yet but plans to do so this winter. The event thought to be their wedding was just a party in celebration to their big day.

Congrats you two love birds.  I'm interested into see what Guza has up Carmine's sleeve.

Michael Sutton Returns to GH!

Michael Sutton (Ex-Stone) Returns to General Hospital for 2 episodes starting, September 28th. Stone Cates who died of AIDS in 1995, appears to past girlfriend Robin Scorpio-Drake, when she "finds herself in a physically perilous situation and becomes delirious."  Robin is emotionally vulnerable at the time after recently finding out her husband, Patrick Drake, has slept with Co-Work Lisa Niles. A GH rep tells TV Guide Magazine that "Stone will give Robin the will to live, not only for herself but, more importantly, her daughter Emma."  Stones appearance is said to bring closure between Robin and Stone.

SoapNet is reporting that Jonathon Jackson will begin taping on 10/1.

From the official statement:

"Greg Vaughn has decided to vacate the role to explore new opportunities. We thank him for his years engaging our audience and dedication to the show and network. The cast and crew wish him well in all his future endeavors."

Rumor's suggest that Jonathon Jackson signed only a 6 month contract.

Borlenghi’s Debut Delayed

Matthew Borlenghi was joining the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” in the recurring role of “Valetin,” as previously reported he would be first appearing in October but because of "creative reasons" he will appear sometime later this year.

Kelly's Co-Stars States She Isn't Leaving

I definitely think Steve Burton would no if they were planning to recast Sam McCall because it involves his character and storyline. The only thing that now makes me nervous is Kemo's facebook status but i guess that could involve anything.
